Artistic Biography
Richard Kelly III
1985 –
Born and raised in Arizona.
Artist, Philosopher,
and Painter.
My whole life has and is a preparation toward my artistic character.
Why Am I interested in becoming an Artist? This is not a valid question for me. I have always been and will always be an
artist. My spirit is art. My passion is art.
This question is like asking a Hawk why it is a Hawk. It is kind of a thing-in-itself, which when asked about itself, can
give no reasonable justification to it’s worth. Hence, a very intuitive acknowledgment of what one is and yet an unclear
reason as to why.
So, a more appropriate question might be why has art found me? Yet a haunting question that came to mind is: What would
I do if I was not an artist? Well, this question is blasphemous to my whole being and what makes me who I am entirely.
I did not mean to use a circular reasoning or ignorance of the question altogether, nor am I being pompous when I say truthfully
and honestly that I am an artist,–

I am technical and mechanical in a cartoon fashion, but in a more picturesque way with philosophical allegorical literary
connotations and myths mixed in. Through some humor and clever questionable thoughts, such as statements like: through learning
and experience one can achieve a greater coherency; where experienced Knowledge can help create. Art helps me to create
more than art but values in observing and associations.
Artists/ people/ books/ and things who have influenced me are:
My Father and Mother, Rembrandt, Eugene Delacroix, Vincent Van Gogh, Cezanne, Manet, Courbet, Raphael, Frans
Hals, Camille Pissarro, Impressionism, Realism, some symbolism and abstractions, Fractals, Fredrich
